Accommodations

You have come to the right place if you are looking for information on hotels and other accommodations. Because summer is a busy time in the Monterey Bay, we blocked off a number of rooms at two hotels in the area. We imagine that these will book up fast, so be sure to make your reservation soon! We have also listed a number of alternatives for those of you who like having options.

Bed & Breakfasts

Sprinkled throughout the Monterey Bay Area are a number of bed and breakfasts. While these do tend to charge more, they can also be a nice treat for anyone looking for a romantic weekend. Find more information about some of these options, here: http://www.monterey.com/mc4/mc4c.html

Rental Homes

For families or larger groups, there are options for home rentals in the area. The VRBO (Vacation Rentals By Owner) website is a good resource if you're looking to stay in a home on the Central Coast. Here are links to rentals in some of the surrounding cities:

Big Sur
Carmel By The Sea
Monterey
Pajaro
Pebble Beach

Camping

For anyone looking to shed their dancing shoes and slumber under the stars, there are a number of camping sites in Big Sur. Rates will be considerably cheaper than staying in a hotel. Just remember to pack a tent, sleeping bag, food and make a reservation - campgrounds book up in the summertime.

Note: The drive between Carmel and Big Sur takes about 30 minutes. The road is windy, but will overwhelm you with beautiful panoramic views of the coast by daylight.
